When it comes to botanical illustrations and watercolor paintings, Esther Clark is about as on point as it gets. Each piece that she creates in her St. Paul studio is equally heartfelt as is it is beautiful. Her training and natural talent shine through in each piece that she creates, from her exquisite line drawings to her perfect watercolors. Just take a look at some her lovely work!
Esther has a background in fine art, earning her BFA in painting and printmaking and started her business in 2015 incorporating her lovely botanicals into custom wedding invitations and beautiful logos as well as full visual brand identities for small businesses. She has recently began to put more of a focus on her original artwork - her recent collection of line drawings nearly sold out on the first day! She has also recently started offering landscapes, a wallpaper collection featuring her beautiful work, and even limited editions of her original pieces!
Esther has done work for Better Homes and Gardens, Anewall, Simply Curated, House Seven Design, Framed Florals, Bloom & Wild, Tao Foods, Bloom Handmade, and many more. Her work is always authentic, hand drawn and crafted exactly for each client’s unique business - and it shows.
Every year for the part few years, Esther creates a calendar and this year she is offering not only a botanical calendar but also a version featuring her paintings of the most charming houses. She is currently taking pre-orders and you will certainly want to reserve one - or a few!
Esther and I initially connected through the wedding industry as we were both wedding stationers for a time. Right away, I was struck by her immense talent, with her art work as well as her design skills. I have since had the pleasure of getting to know her a bit more personally and she is truly one of the kindest humans - just as delightful as her lovely florals. I plan to begin to feature some interviews with some of my favorite artists in the new year and Esther will certainly be one of the first!
I have loved watching Esther’s business evolve and I know that whatever she does next, she will continue to create beautiful things that really resonate with so many.
